It's Not Right, But It's OK.

I had an entire Boboli pizza last night (well almost ... 5/6th worth). Fortunately, I was well under the calorie limit, so even after I finished up, I still was under for the day.

And the result?

YESTERDAY'S WEIGH-IN.............161.8
WEIGH-IN @ 7 A.M....................161.6
NET GAIN/LOSS..........................-0.2

It's either a wasted day, or it's a correction to the big weight loss the day before. Either way it's not what I wanted, but it's okay.

I went running today (another 5k) on the treadmill. Not to sound like a whiny bitch, but the person next to me reeked of cigarette smoke. It was gross and reminded me of when I was married to 2nd wife who was (and is) and avid smoker.

Yesterday it was an orgasm. Today it was a lung spasm.

It's been very busy in the office today. Also, I just learned that Cleveland's in for a big snow fall come Friday, Jan 25th. Nothing like going to Cleveland in January! Fortunately, I'll be landing there the day before...

Doing some more running tonight. A big part of running effectively, is to keep to your schedule, and the best way to do that, is to be organized and above all else....FOCUSED.

Every night I get home, I throw my dirties in the hamper, and re-load my transpack with running clothes (shirt, shorts, socks, etc). I always make sure I have 2 sets, and 2 towels too, in the even that I run twice. I also make sure that my iPod is updated with new music, and that I have enough shampoo and other toiletries too. Once complete, I pack my combo lock for my locker and then leave the bag in front of the door, so I wont forget it.

As for running during my lunch hour, that is indeed, a challenge. My job is about 5-10 minutes from the gym. So just the commute alone is about 15 minutes. Taking a shower and changing back to my normal clothes is about another 10 minutes. Now I'm down to 35 minutes. Then, let's not forget the stretching I need to do after a run, that's 5 minutes minimal. 30 minutes.
With 30 minutes, I can run 3 miles comfortably. It's not what I prefer, but at least it cuts down the number of miles I'd do later on in the day. One thing I do to save time, is I make a break for the boys room earlier on in the morning, and change into my running stuff (sneakers excluded) beneath my business attire. I even put on my white socks and then my work socks over my white socks for an easy slip-off later on. Heck, it only takes about 5 minutes, but that's another half-mile or better worth of running!

Finally, here's where I am in my virtual trek across America.
Still in New Jersey, but I'm just about halfway across it now.
Anyone here from Budd Lake, New Jersey?
Below is the only photo, a postcard from like 1920. LOL

UPDATE: I just came back from the LA Fitness in Lake Success. I just ran another 5 miles. And I just realized that for my "Run Across America" that.....I ran along the wrong road! If I go back I will waste miles. I'll never make it to California! Oh wait...This is a VIRTUAL run right? Okay, so let's PRETEND that all along I was on Route 78. There. Better. And with my nearly 64 miles I am now at the Spruce Run Reservoir in get this, "CLINTON", New Jersey!

Some facts about where I am: (if I don't bore you too much)

The Town of Clinton is located on the South Branch of the Raritan River. In the late 1700's this area was known as Hunt's Mill for Daniel Hunt who built several mills on one side of the river and for his son, Ralph, who built a woolen mill on the other side. When the post office was established in 1929 the town was named for Dewitt Clinton, Governor of New York and sponsor of the newly completed Erie Canal. It's population is roughly 2,600 people. Shit, there were more people than that in St. Francis Prep alone.

.........................................................................................Now that's a big effen bun!

The Spruce Run Reservoir is located in Hunterdon County, New Jersey and became operational in 1963. The 11 billion gallon on-stream water storage reservoir includes a 6,000 foot long earthen dam and two earthen dikes.

The Spruce Run Reservoir is an integral part of a water supply system that also consists of Round Valley Reservoir and the Delaware & Raritan Canal Transmission Complex which together have the capability of delivering 225 million gallons of raw water per day to the water utilities that serve central New Jersey.

...notice how Clinton, NJ is right next to White House Station, NJ.......Ain't that delicious?

EXTREMELY HECTIC. I hope you are watching your heart, cholesterol level, etc. I am not kidding. Please have a complete check up with your doctor.

Funny you should mention it. Right before your comments, I had just gotten off the phone with my doctor to set up my yearly physical, blood work, etc.
